The history of Impac Systems Engineering goes back to 1985 founded as Design Automation. DA, as it was popularly called, provided computer aided design and drafting services to architectural and engineering organizations.
Design Automation then became an authorized AutoCAD reseller, a computer aided design and drafting software package from AutoDesk. In addition to providing drafting services utilizing AutoCAD, DA began to sell complete PC hardware / software and networked CAD solutions in 1987.
From 1988 through 1992 the company won the "Houston 100 Award" that recognizes the fastest 100 growing private companies in Houston. In 1992, the company won the INC 500 award recognizing the fastest 500 growing private companies in the United States. The company won the AutoDesk President's Club award recognizing AutoDesk's largest dealers from 1996 through 2001.
In 1999 Design Automation spun-off its AutoCAD and drafting services business to a new formed Impac Systems. Impac continued with AutoDesk as well as other products and services including Solidworks and PTC that fueled business growth over the next 6 years.
Then in 2005 Impac Systems became Impac Systems Engineering, a new partnership merging the mechanical engineering services assets of Comprehensive Engineering Solutions, a company owned by Scot Andrews, PE. At the same time Kelly Knake, a long time DA and Impac salesman was offered a partnership. Kelly is the VP of Business Development, Scot Andrews, PE, VP of Engineering and Carl Rose is President.
Throughout its history, DA, then Impac and now ISE, has been a reseller and trainer of CAD engineering software, AutoDesk, Solidworks and PTC. That experance made us experts with the tools. Combined with engineering expertise, makes ISE a "go-to" engineering services firm, focusing its value proposition on providing quality mechanical, structural and process engineering services.
